install doubt/query

Soo i've tried many ways to install ax-shell but never succeeded with it, i just dont understand the exact what to do.. i've tried on archinstall hyprland, cachy hyprland and even installed hyprland on endeavour os and tried installing ax-shell but the shell never came and its just the default hyprland. I know im probably doing something wrong but would be a great help if you could just let me know what's the most ideal way to install ax-shell succesfully like from what os you use to like the steps i should take.. please help out :) @Axenide

Hey, I hope you are doing well.

Try this command in the terminal and show me the output:

python ~/.config/Ax-Shell/main.py

shows it doesn't exist

What? But if the bar opened, it should be there. It wouldn't work if it wasn't there.

How did you install?

the normal way with your install command script.. this is really weird tho like there is zero smoothness with the anims and it's soo choppyy.. i gotta try with cachy then

Hey thanks for the response.. can you please recommend me what distro to use with ax-shell according to you? I'm not really on anything right now

hmm so if my understanding is correct I'm supposed to change the keybind of super+q terminal which is a hyprland default to none by myself from the hyprland config right?

Well... That or you change Ax-Shell's SUPER + Q to whatever you want.

but.. that's already the pins section right? For me when i do superq kittu pops up and also the pins thing comes too

That is the pins section, yes. And I know it overlaps with the default kitty bind. Feel free to change any of them. :)
