Using MAME Domesday86 CHD media in Hypseus

hypseus requires MPEG2 and OGG audio files.

Extract the avi from the CHD with the MAME chdman tool:

chdman extractld -i dlair.chd -o dlair.avi

MPEG2 and OGG files suitable for hypseus can be created with ffmpeg

M2V creation:

Deinterlacing:

The below example uses Nnedi3 deinterlacing, this can be achieved by using the nnedi3_weights.bin in the folder with ffmpeg.

ffmpeg -i dlair.avi -an -pix_fmt yuv420p -b:v 15000k -minrate 15000k -maxrate 15000k -vf "nnedi=weights=nnedi3_weights.bin","crop=720:480:0:42","setdar=4/3" -codec:v mpeg2video dlair.m2v

15000k can be altered to a value suitable to your installation.

Note also crop: ffmpeg crop filter

OGG audio creation:

ffmpeg -i dlair.avi -vn -c:a libvorbis -ar 44100 -map a -b:a 160k dlair.ogg

Framefile:

The framefile.txt should begin from frame 0
