Is there any way to download data via huggingface via datasets?

Hello @simonsays1980, thanks for spotting this issue, indeed the doc must be updated, as we now have only the HuggingFace remote. Would you like to open a PR fixing this?

You can also download with huggingface_hub; we do this under the hood. I have never tried to directly read the dataset with huggingface, but I believe you can for Arrow datasets. However, you will get raw data, for example, flattened arrays or byte-compressed images
