Opening kicad project has an error

When trying to open the kicad project and clicking on the CvPcb tool I get the following error:
IO_ERROR: footprint library path '/Users/userid/play/firebase-arduino-master/hardware/firethings/ft1.3/myfootprint.pretty' does not exist from /Users/ansible/4.0.6/kicad-mac-packaging-4.0.0/kicad/pcbnew/kicad_plugin.cpp : FootprintEnumerate() : line 1786

It seems that there is a directory called 'myfootprint.pretty' that is missing?
