recommended version/setup for Kintex-7?

Hi there,

I tried nextpnr-xilinx to synthesize a project for my Kintex-7 board. The project (Litex + Vexriscv SMP) did not really work in my board (no signs of life). I didn't dig further to understand what's happening because I'm not really sure if this is supposed to work. I had to remove some peripherals in order for synthesis to work.
For the build I used 'nextpnr-xilinx' with the updated DB files for Kintex-7.

A few questions (I hope this is the right place to ask them):

• What is the nextpnr version I should use nowadays for Kintex-7? 'nextpnr-xilinx' in openXC7 should be targeting XC7 but I had to manually do the change mentioned above.
• Is it supposed to work for a complex design like a Vexriscv soft core? What should I consider/pay attention to?
• What is the best reference project I can look at for Kintex-7? xc7k325t-picosoc-nextpnr, which is 3 years old?
