Is there a way to cause a delay on playlist downloads?

I set in my YTDL options file the sleep_interval option. MeTube doesn't seem to respect that and just does what is set in the global environment variables. I see DEFAULT_OPTION_PLAYLIST_ITEM_LIMIT which prevents it from downloading to many at once but I don't see any way to set the sleep option. Is that possible?

metube parses the playlist into individual files and downloads them one by one.If you need the delay feature of yt-dlp's playlist, please turn on strict mode when adding it

I have sleep_interval already set in the YTDL_OPTIONS_FILE file. Does it need to be set in the other YTDL_OPTIONS environment variable instead? If the file is enough then I've already tested it with and without strict mode.

As mentioned above, "sleep_interval" requires yt-dlp to process a playlist as a whole, that is "strict mode". metube splits a playlist and processes them one by one, which causes "sleep_interval" not work.
Later, one of the updates broke "strict mode"....
