Rangers would like to opt-in to display some personal info

A recent discussion on Allcom generated some desire among Rangers to be able to see some personal info about other Rangers, and there was some discussion about making the 'Show Personal Info' an opt-in feature. I offered to log this as an enhancement request without additional discussion on the policy implications of this feature request. (Edit: Hazelnut reviewed the policy implications somewhat on Allcom)

On that note, I suspect that adding a feature like this could generate a fair bit of further discussion, and that as a policy question, will probably get the kibosh, but here's the user story:

As a clubhouse user, I'd like to be able to show some of my personal information to other Rangers who have Clubhouse privileges that do not normally allow viewing of personal information. An "Opt-in" preference to allow showing my picture and limited contact information allows me to show my personal e-mail and picture to any ranger that logs in to the clubhouse, with my full knowledge that setting this Opt-In flag will allow anyone with Clubhouse access to see that information.

Since we already ask Rangers to abide by certain privileged information policies, this may be workable, but it's a policy decision to be made before any work should be done.
