Integrate with Canvas for automatic submission of LJ assignments

Can we integrate with Canvas directly to automatically submit an LJ assignment for students when they create a new entry?  What would be needed?  Would we have to somehow tie individual entries to an LJ assignment with a given due date?  What else could be used to correlate entries created here with assignments in canvas?
