Lens Problem : "already closed, can't increment ref count"

The Lens chart doesn't return data with a long time period and returns the error "already closed, can't increment ref count":

Any idea how this should be triaged?

That is an error returned by Elasticsearch.
Unfortunately due to a bug that is not available in the Inspector response panel, but looking at the Network DevTools this is coming straight from ES:

Lens is only showing the received error.

I would recommend to move the issue to the Elasticsearch repository with a representative request to reproduce the error.

Pretty sure this is an Elasticsearch bug but we need a great deal more information before we can route it to the right team. Please would you add the ?error_trace query parameter to the request URL so that the response contains a full stack trace, and then share the entire request and response here?
