pim.etesync.com website always loads with service-worker registration failures (but eventually I get through to a regular page)

eg: loading https://pim.etesync.com/pim/contacts/new/contact I see this error logging and apparently nothing happening in the UI for > 6 min (both chrome and firefox):

this was on Chrome at Version 125.0.6422.141 (Official Build) (64-bit)
