Downloaded Cyberduck .zip file does not match MD5 checksum posted on website #17480
-
Hello. I use a small utility to compare the checksum string of downloaded app files, archives, or installers to the string posted by the developer on their website. I have been doing this for years without running into a mismatch on any downloads, but when I download the latest Cyberduck .zip file, its MD5 checksum string (8cc78fa5cccbbd352914e0c843c247d7) does not match the MD5 checksum string posted on the Cyberduck.io website (78876046847d80ffd39eb296732bdf87). I am therefore reluctant to expand the archive, let alone install the app. Can anyone offer an explanation for why the checksum string is not matching this time? (This is for the MacOS version.) |
