Android application no longer syncs with Dropbox

I had the Android app syncing with Dropbox and working fine for weeks. Recently it stopped synchronizing without error. If I make a new task from the web browser, it does not get reflected in the Android app and vice versa. I confirmed that the web browser updates the json file but not the Android app.

I have many times uninstalled, cleared cache, cleared storage, rebooted my phone. But every time I reinstall the app the old data is there. I need to find a way to 100% clean it from my phone and resync

Looks like #4457 may fix this when it's merged. Just waiting on Dev
