Import documentation & functionnalities

Hi,

First, thank you for the work you've done.

I have some troubles to use the import functionality. In fact, there is no documentation. What we can do with it, what are the options we have ? :)
For example, can I import just an index from a directory or zip file, from another path than logs (like with the archivepath argument in the export) ?

Will be awesome to know more about it, because it's the other side of the same problem : backup.

Saw some issues around the import functionality, it'll be very good for the plugin reputation to solve them and gives some docs.
