How do I apply the per-feed block/keep rules to previous articles?

I'm exprimenting the correct rules, and it seems it only applies to newer article pulls? The existing ones are not affected.

I am having the same difficulty. I tried a "force refresh" but the block rule doesn't seem to apply to existing entries. I also tried deleting the feed and entering the block rule when re-creating the feed, but matching entries still appear. The feed refresh interval is about 2 hours for this feed; it would be unfortunate to have to wait two hours before seeing the effect of my block rule...

You can override the refresh interval in miniflux settings: export FORCE_REFRESH_INTERVAL=1. But that won't solve the "apply rules to former entries" request.
Only way to apply rules to previous entries is... to have them when the feed is created, so to delete and recreate the same feed unfortunately. Maybe it is worth opening an issue, what do you think @fguillot ?
