GA and is it safe to use?

Hi folks!

I am relatively new to netbox and I wonder if this plugin is safe to use in my netbox 4.4 instance. I found some sources from netbox that told me that this feature is new in 4.4, after that I found out it is a plugin.

Will this be a feature in netbox sometime? Or will this stay as a plugin in the future?

I was wondering if the project has been abandoned and the features are being moved into core NetBox now? It's been quite a while since the last release of the plugin... it's hard to test further with no new fixes being released.

@ed-ud There's been a stream of commits/fixes over the last few weeks so not abandoned: https://github.com/netboxlabs/netbox-custom-objects/commits/main/ You can always test against the latest version on main if you're curious.

We will be releasing the GA version (0.4.0) this week.
