“Twitter” or "X"’ or ”X (formerly Twitter)” #50841

Description

@rakekniven

The platform has changed ownership and more importantly the name.
Currently we have 57 occurrences with the word “Twitter” as content on Transifex.

https://app.transifex.com/nextcloud/search/?q=project%3Anextcloud+target_language%3Ade_DE+source_text%3Atwitter

There are also a few occurrences with “X”, 5 to be precise. This is not easy to filter because of the great name ;-)

My question is, how do we deal with this?
Should we change “Twitter” in the strings to “X”? Or to “X (formerly Twitter)” (I vote for that).
Or do we not care and leave “Twitter”? (I don't know right now if the platform is still being used by Nextcloud)

The question came up on Transifex and I've also been contacted on Mastodon.
