I see "Include a copy of the CoC in the sponsor packet" under https://discover-cookbook.numfocus.org/07_code_of_conduct.html#awareness but I'm not sure I know what a sponsor packet is, who creates it, or who it goes to.

I believe a Sponsor packet is the document you share when asking a company for sponsorship/funding for your event. In that case, this issue will be

  • Finding an appropriate place to define what a "Sponsor packet" is;
  • Adding a link to that definition in the "Awareness" rubric mentioned above.

For me, this is sometimes called "call for sponsors" or "potential sponsor information". An example from a conference I worked on recently is https://us-rse.org/usrse24/sponsor/
