Topic 1: the new XML

Contact Andrei with the new XML issues. There will be a bucket of github issues that we can use to log XML bugs, they end up with parser team. There are incremental increases to a parser and the XML keeps getting better.
The parser team has regular sprint cycles so the changes come in batches.

Topic 2: zap support for complex data types

There is ample workarounds, so no immediate need. Lists currently use some internal TLV stuff.
