I have enabled mtime for linemode and filenames are getting (not confusingly close) but close enough to the modified time

if you don't want to see number then set show_numbers to none.

There is an smart_truncate option which uses to truncate long file name. It's enabled by default so in the setup function I don't mentioned it. You can see the result from the image I uploaded

Does this also work in plain yazi? I think @gaven140 was refering to yazi itself, without additional plugins, but maybe I'm wrong :)
