Monitoring TeslaMate --> latest data entry? Update available?

I would love to "monitor" TeslaMate via nagios/checkmk (i.e., some simple nrpe script) so I can quickly get a reminder if anything is off:

1. When there was no entry for the last x days
2. When a new version is available

Is there a simple script (preferably to be executed from the host via docker compose exec) that can return the information above?

You can use MQTT for this.
For Updated I do run this:

So I get notified by Telegram as soon as an update is available for my vehicle.

I do monitor my host via health checks and get notified by via telegram if no successful ping since 10 minutes for example

Thank you! Re 2, that’s actually a misunderstanding: I mean an update for TeslaMate, not the Tesla ;-) Latter I get already notification via HA addon.

Yes, MQTT could work. But, it also requires that something is permanently running to listen to MQTT messages. Wonder if there’s a simple way to do it with a script, without listening? Maybe read something out from the database directly?
