Hey trickerer, I really enjoy the wandering bots feature. However, it feels a bit odd that the wandering bots don't take cross-faction gameplay into account.
I have a suggestion or idea, not a feature request since I'm not in a position to make one:
Since not everyone may prefer that, the wandering bots could have the same PvP flag as the player if enabled through the player portrait.
Wandering bots could have a percentage chance (configurable in the file) of having PvP enabled at or above level 10, specifically outside of the starting zones.
Wandering bots should respect the player's choice of having PvP enabled or disabled.
Players should see bots with PvP enabled as attackable and be able to attack them.
PvP enabled bots can attack other PvP enabled bots. PvE bots do not attack each other, and PvE bots will not intentionally attack PvP enabled bots.
If a player casts a spell on a friendly PvP enabled bot, it should enable the player's PvP, similar to healing a city guard, for example.
PvE bots should not heal or buff PvP enabled players to protect themselves, as most PvE players would.
As I typed all of this out, I realize that it would be a significant undertaking, and unfortunately, I lack the programming skills to assist in any way.
Of course I'm more than happy to brainstorm or test features in-game.
Thank you for your amazing work on the NPCBots :-)
