Point and line selection synchronization

When doing point and line selection in openlayers (2d map) the PolygonRenderer of the virtual globe throws an exception:
Triangulation error ! Check if your GeoJSON geometry is valid
Additionally the line selection is closed to a polygon in the globweb viewer.
