What will your feature request solve?

My request solves the problem of a bug when selling items with another sell-junk-addons.

Sometimes when selling gray items using other addons, some item gets "stuck" in the bag. It is gray and unclickable, but apparently takes up a slot.

I don't know if this is a bug in the addons for selling (I tried 2 different ones and the problem persists) or bug in bagshui.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'd honestly kind of prefer to fix the stuck items issue if possible. I just installed GrayAutoSell and it sold 1700 gray items without any issue. (Now to be fair, this is on my local vmangos which has basically zero load, so it's not exactly a real-world test.)

If you don't mind helping to track this down, I'd really appreciate it.

• And most importantly: When this happens, is the item also gray and unclickable in the Blizzard bag? (See below).

Looking at the Blizzard bag

That last one could take a little work to answer. Here's how:

1. Make a note of which bag contains the item (you can hover over it and it will light up in Bagshui's bag slot bar).
2. Go to Settings > More > Integration and uncheck the Bags Hook for that bag.
3. Use the action bar buttons or key bindings to open the bag containing the item.
4. Re-enable the bag hook (if you accidentally close Bagshui and need to get it back open, use /bagshui settings bags).

Does the issue seem to occur at a specific threshold of items being sold? (Ex. only when there are more than 10 in your bag).
I haven't noticed any patterns (maybe they exist, if I find them I'll let you know). I'm currently farming for the tiger quest in Winterspring, and after each circle I sell gray items, sometimes it get stuck

I hate to say this, but the fact that the item is also bugged in the original Blizzard bag almost certainly means there's nothing I can do about it. What's likely happening is the client's perceived state for the item gets out of sync with the server and a reload corrects it.

In more detail, both the Blizzard bags and Bagshui depend on the GetContainerItemInfo() function to ascertain whether an item is locked, and turn it gray if so. As far as I know, there's no way to force the client to actually go back and ask the server for fresh information short of a reload (I'd love to be wrong about that).

What you might be able to do is increase the delay between sell operations. In AutoProfit, you could do this by editing AutoProfit.lua and adding this line at the top of the file (the default Blizzard value is 0.2), testing, and adjusting further if needed:

local TOOLTIP_UPDATE_TIME = 0.5

You can edit the file while the game is running; just reload UI to pick up the changes.

Closing this since it seems to be a WoW client issue. Potential workarounds are noted in my previous comment.

For this problem, try using the sell module in the Automaton

The only thing I know to try is the trick I mentioned in my previous comment. At the top of Automaton’s sell.lua, add the line

local TOOLTIP_UPDATE_TIME = 0.5

Then reload your UI. Keep adjusting the number until it stops glitching items.
