Hi @vontanne I'm trying to get the stack set up, and so far I got it up and running, however, not sure how to test Sockt.IO with Postman, I was able to set up postman, but not sure about the method I need to call out. I will appreciate if you can share any documentation or reference on how to test it. Thank you!

Hi @ale-gato,

To test the Socket.IO API using Postman, follow these steps:

1. Use Postman to send a REST request to the sign-up or sign-in endpoint of the program API.

   • Extract the access_token from the response.

2. Switch to a new Socket.IO Request in Postman.

3. Enter the WebSocket server URL: ws://localhost:4800

4. In the Headers tab (before connecting), add:

• Key: authorization
• Value: Bearer <access-token>
  (Replace <access-token> with the token obtained earlier).

5. Click Connect.

6. Go to the Message tab and define the JSON payload for the event.

• You can reference the corresponding DTOs for the correct JSON structure.
• Don't forget to choose JSON as the body type.

7. Switch to the Events tab and add the events you want to listen to:

• Example: "createRoom", "sendMessage".

8. At the bottom-right, in the Ack section, specify the events that the client will emit:

• Example: "getRoomDetails".

9. Once everything is configured:

• Headers: Authorization is set.
• Message: Body is prepared.
• Events: Listening setup is complete.

10. Click Send to emit the event.

11. Check the Messages tab for responses.

I appreciate the time to come up with the response.
I went through the steps and everything works smoothly except for create a room or either send a message. I followed the DTOs message structure but I cannot see anything in the logs that reads at least an error. Do you know if there is something that I might be missing?
