Hi there, I'm Kimberley (or Kim) 👋

codebar Director • Software Engineer • Speaker • Avid Snowboarder, Climber and Alpinist

I’m a software engineer, codebar Director, speaker, mountaineer, snowboarder, and a new Mum. I spent eight years working as a software engineer in London before moving to the snowy French Alps. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked in agencies, publishing houses, product-focused companies, and most recently as a freelancer.

Today, I mostly run codebar - a charity that provides free programming workshops for underrepresented groups in tech. Since it started 12 years ago, codebar has ran more than 2,500 events and built a global community of over 27,000 people. What began as a personal passion project to make the tech industry more diverse has grown into a worldwide movement.

I’m also an experienced public speaker and would be delighted to share insights from my work and journey at your conference. Alongside speaking, I offer consulting for companies looking to foster inclusive cultures and improve diversity in tech, as well as for organisations interested in running a charity or growing a large, engaged global community.
