Hi Brian, could you please get an approval from a sr. sde or PE from your team, I am not sure if this change is backward compatible.

Also could you please confirm testing details.

From what I can tell, this change should be safe/backwards compatible as the actual service model was changed prior to the public preview launch. Seems like this was a case of dev code that was tested earlier making it into the repo without final validations.
