At the state level, the number of votes that need to be counted by hand is not usually a primary concern. So why are Australian Electoral Commissioners actively pursuing electronic voting? What are their primary motivations? How aware are they of the risks?
In this talk at the IT-University in Copenhagen, [http://users.cecs.anu.edu.au/~rpg/ Rajeev Gore] from the Research School of Computer Science, Australian National University, will outline the current initiatives and concerns regarding electronic voting in Australia at the state level.
