DASSH FHIR
We held a 1-day educational symposium:
This 2-day Hackathon was focused on HLA & FHIR. The goal was to vet the Clinical Genomics implementation guide, specifically for HLA reporting. This ties in with the Publishing timeline, where the CG workgroup votes on content for the September ballot on August 13th. Additional things to do or work on:
- Cytogenetics
- Registry Use Cases (cross walk EMDIS data dictionary and semantics with HL7-FHIR)
- Hands-on exercises
- Go explore! Both events will take place in the NMDP offices in Minneapolis.
Please contact Martin Maiers for more information: [email protected]
We held a meeting concerning FHIR HL7 and had 44 people attend, 26 from NMDP/CIBMTR and 18 from external organizations. Of these about 30 people stayed on to attend the two-day hackathon. Most people thought the Symposium was good or very good across a range of measures. Everyone thought the right people were at the Symposium, and that the individual talks were of the right length, three people wanted a longer Symposium. The suggestions to improve the Symposium include getting more vendors and developers to attend. Everyone wanted another Symposium. LabCorp sponsored one of the meals.
