Releases: prismicio/slice-machine
2.16.1
Hey! 👋
We're happy to announce the release of Slice Machine v2.16.1!
✨ What’s New?
- Svelte 5 support:
@slicemachine/adapter-sveltekit
now supports Svelte 5. When running in a Svelte 5 project, code snippets use runes and follow the latest Svelte conventions. - Documentation: We added a link to the Prismic documentation in the Slice Machine sidebar.
If you work on a SvelteKit website, we recommend upgrading to Svelte 5 and updating your Slice Machine adapter. Learn how to upgrade your website using the official Svelte 5 migration guide.
Svelte 4 websites continue to be supported; generated code will use the older Svelte 4 syntax (e.g. export let
).

2.16.0
AI Slice — Now With Code ✨
We’ve supercharged the AI Slice flow — from image to structured model, all the way to context-aware code generation.
It’s not just faster. It’s smarter.
✅ What’s New?
AI Code Generation with Prismic MCP
Let AI write the code that fits your Slice — and your project.
Prismic MCP (Model Context Provider) gives the AI the context it needs:
- your framework (Next.js, Nuxt, etc.)
- your styling setup (Tailwind CSS, modules…)
- your existing Slice models
- your SDK config
Smarter code. Less setup. Fewer edits.
🎯 Reminder: Image → Slice in Slices List
You can now trigger image-based generation directly from the Slices List, not just from a Page Type. More flexibility, same flow.
That’s it for now — try it out and let us know what you think!
As always, feedback is welcome 🙌
2.15.3
Copy Experiment – Let’s test some words ✨
We’re experimenting with subtle changes in the product’s copy to see what resonates best with you.
Here’s what’s new 👇
🧪 Copy Testing
We’re testing updated microcopy in specific parts of the app to improve clarity, tone, and guidance. You might notice slight variations — that’s intentional!
💬 Why?
Better words = better experience. This helps us learn what makes Slice Machine easier and more enjoyable to use.
That’s all for now — if something feels different, it probably is 😉
As always, feedback is welcome 🙌
2.15.2
Image to Slice – Fix & Feature!
We’re continuing to improve the AI Slice Generation with quality-of-life updates and a more intuitive workflow.
Here’s what’s new👇
✅ Image to Slice Generation in Slices List
You can now generate a Slice directly from an image within the Slices List view — not just from the Page Type.
🛠 What’s Fixed?
✅ Image to Slice Modal Polish
We now display the correct Slice name in the Image to Slice modal.
That’s all for now — try it out and let us know what you think!
As always, feedback is welcome 🙌
2.15.1
Image Field + AI Feedback Component – Fix & Feature!
We’ve just shipped a handy update and a brand-new feature to make your experience with Slice Machine smoother and more interactive 👇
🛠 What’s Fixed?
🖼 Image Field Issue – We’ve fixed a validation issue related to the Image field that was causing some errors in the console. Things should now work as expected!
✨ What’s New?
🤖 AI Feedback Component – You can now give quick feedback on AI-generated slices using a simple thumbs up or down. This helps us learn and improve the results for everyone. Just one click to let us know if the AI got it right!
That’s all for now — feel free to reach out if you have feedback or questions!
2.15.0
AI Slice Generation is live (in beta) and ready to change the way you build with Prismic.
You can now generate a fully structured Slice from a design image — in seconds — directly inside Slice Machine.
🎨 Upload your design image
🧠 Let the AI detect key fields (text, images, links…)
⚡️ Get an instantly usable Slice Model with pre-filled fields
🛠 Edit and refine as needed
🔑 What’s included in this beta
✅ Drag & drop image upload
✅ Automatic field detection
✅ Editable fields post-generation
✅ Bulk generation support
🛣 What’s next?
This is just the beginning. We’re already working on:
- Auto-generating code for your Slices
- Instant mocking for faster testing
🙌 Huge shoutout to the team behind this ambitious release.
This is still in beta, so your feedback is gold.

2.14.2
Table Field – Fix!
We’ve just shipped a small (but mighty) update for those of you using the Table Field with React and Vue 👇
🛠 What’s Fixed?
🔑 Key Prop Issue – Until now, the API didn’t provide a key
prop for Table Field elements, which led to those annoying console warnings in React and Vue. We’ve updated the API response to include proper key
values — so you can say goodbye to the red squiggles in your console.
That’s it for now — as always, feel free to reach out with questions or feedback!
