This needs some additional work to QA the full site. I did some initial futzing, and think most of the major things are done.

Other big next step is the blog post announcing CFP, tickets, etc.

Thank you, looks good! Added suggestions for a couple of small things. :)

I still want to update the grant page, and we need an announcement text.

I'll take a look at this later today I hope.
Some extra care needed with the announcement to field expectations on the stripped down nature of the event.

I modified our grant program based on past experiences, so please have an extra look (once build is done): https://writethedocs-www--2377.org.readthedocs.build/conf/berlin/2025/opportunity-grants/

(form is still wrong, pending on google drive being created)

These can probably be later for Berlin? TBD

* **MONDAY**: Day 1 of Speaker Talks and Unconference. Booth setup begins for Keystone and Patron sponsors at 7am. Attendees begin to arrive at 8am. Sponsor introductions will happen at 10:55am on the main stage for booth sponsors. Two thirds of attendees check in early this morning. There are seven speakers, with a short break after each talk. The Unconference track runs parallel to Speaker Talks. There is a Monday social gathering in the evening offsite.

I feel like arbitrarily switching Keystone on and off between Berlin and Portland is gonna bite us sooner or later.

* Keystone and Patron sponsors are allowed to send 3 boxes at 24"x18"x18" in size. Please contact us for the shipping address for an organizer, as the venue doesn't accept packages.

* Add CFP dates

* Add speaker info and updates comms

* Portland -> {{shortcode}}

@mxsasha please take a look at https://pretalx.com/wtd-berlin-2025 particularly the session types (and the two questions are are unique to each session type)
image

This leaves us with

  • blog post
  • updating the CFP page, both of which I'll add here later today

Did a slight wording tweak, but still thinking about "I understand that submitting a pre-recorded talk proposal reduces my chances of being accepted" which feels kinda negative. But I don't have better wording right away.

Is 8 weeks right? IIRC we try to give folks 12 weeks? That feels very tight to book travel and turn around the talk?

Right, so what do you suggest?

If we're opening this week, we could split the difference and so start of August?

Not sure why we wouldn't just do 3 months out like normal?

I'm a little confused, I thought we were announcing ticket sales and the website as well?

I'll throw some more stuff in. I just mean this as a starting point not as a finished post.
