This just adds a initial draft for a cmake project file. This allows me to build an xcode version of this which support universal binaries. There may be other ways of doing that of course. But this was the easiest for me.

I don't know why the commits from 2020 are included in this request... that isn't the intention here.

I fixed the mirroring so the master branch is now up to date, so if you rebase and force push your PR branch, the other commits should go away.

@ePirat apparently changing the branch to something else and back again fixes the extra commits being part of the PR. So now it's just the cmake file. I think it's safe for you to merge.
